Onsite Supervision Update from DOSCEL
Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,
On 8 September 2021, the Premier of Victoria, the Hon. Daniel Andrews, announced that from Friday 10 September, students in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 who live in regional Victoria will be allowed to return to on-site face-to-face learning.
Students in Grades 3 to 6 will continue with remote learning, which remains unchanged.
While we will continue to provide a supervision program for students in those year levels not returning to face-to-face learning, on-site supervision will only be accessible to children who were previously eligible under the vulnerable children or children of authorised workers categories. No additional students in Grades 3 to 6 will be able to attend on-site.
This is based on the health advice of the Victorian Chief Health Officer, which Lumen Christi Primary School, Churchill is legally required to follow.
I understand that this will be frustrating for parents that are returning to work, but who are not essential workers, and empathise with your situation. I wish to assure all families that our school practices are COVIDSafe and aligned with the latest advice from the Department of Health.
We will continue to do everything we can to keep your children safe.
Thank you for your support.
