Dear Families,
This week we celebrate Catholic Education Week – the theme of this year’s celebration comes from the Gospel of Mark, “Go out into the world and spread the Good News to all creation”. Our director of Catholic Education has made a wonderful video that I have shared on our Facebook page about how we celebrate as Catholic schools. The link is also here for families to view:

I believe that here at Lumen Christi, we do a wonderful job at spreading the Good News in the way we interact with each other, accept each other and treat each other with kindness and respect. This is evident from everyone from our teachers, educational support staff, administrative staff and our children. Lumen Christi is certainly a lovely place to work, learn and grow together. We thank our parents and carers also for the role they play in supporting what we do here at school.
I’m happy to report that although we still have some children away with either Covid or other illnesses, our numbers are coming back up and children are returning to school. Many thanks to our parents for keeping children home when they are unwell.
We had some lovely families come and view our school on Open Day. If you have a child starting in Grade Prep next year, please bring forms in as soon as possible so that we can begin our 2023 planning early next term.
Remember that school photos are coming up om the 9th June – envelopes are at the office if families have misplaced theirs.
Have a wonderful week ahead everyone,
Sally

Help Needed in the Library to cover books
We are asking if there are any adults availabel to help cover some of our new library books? This is a really time consuming job and is made much easier with a few helpers.
If you are able to help onsite, please let Maree in the office know or email mnardino@churchill.catholic.edu.au. You must have three doses of the Cobid vaccine to volunteer at school, otherwise, we welcome people to take a few books home and cover them at home.
Many thanks
