Dear Families,
It was an exciting week at school last week with the P/1/2 children celebrating their 100 days of school and going on their excursion to see Edward the Emu. It’s so lovely to be able to do these things again, the atmosphere in the school was joyful on both of these days and I think both students and teachers loved both of these experiences.
We also wrapped up our Parent Teacher Interviews. A huge thank you to the parents in both 3/4 and 4/5 for being flexible with the original arrangements as we navigate our way through another term of staff illnesses.
This week we have an incursion coming to the school from Meerkat productions based on the James Foley book, “Stellarphant”, which I know everyone is looking forward to.
We have some other exciting news happening in the school also. We welcome the return of “Playgroup” this week which will run on Thursday mornings at from 8:35 – 10:30 on Thursdays. We thank Tania Wookey for volunteering to run this in the school.
Also, many of our parents might have heard that our chickens came to an unfortunate end a few weeks ago. We will be welcoming four new chickens to our school this week after the chicken enclosure has been better secured to keep any other predators out. Thanks to Craig Dekaste and Hans Dekaste for their hard work getting the chicken coop ready for our new chooks. The children and the community are very grateful.
Have a great week ahead everyone,
Sally
