Dear Families,
We are really looking forward to celebrating with all of our wonderful dads and special people here at Lumen Christi on Thursday. Please join us for breakfast in the eco centre from 8am onwards. We also have our liturgy in the church afterwards at 9am and would like to invite families along to celebrate Father’s Day with us.
We also have our Book Week Dress Up Day on Friday – better late than never. We are looking forward to the children being able to celebrate all things that are wonderful about reading and books. Children will participate in some special activities on the day which will be lovely.
Last week, our students in Grades 3-6 went along to a Netball Clinic and Netball game in Traralgon. We are always so proud of our children when they represent our school with their respectful, resilient and responsible behaviour.
We also held an emergency “Shelter in Place” last week. This is part of our Emergency Management training and practice for students and teachers so that we are all prepared and know what to do should the need arise.
The Parish held a family movie night here on Friday night, which was well attended. They were really excited to be able to hold a function for our school and parish families.

Fathers Day Prayer
On Sunday we celebrate Fathers Day. It is such a special day to celebrate, acknowledge and give thanks to all the Dads, Grandfathers, Stepfathers and also other special role models in our lives. We hope that you all have a wonderful day!
Lord, thank you for the gift of a Father, who has been an inspiration through his love and guidance. Help us to support, protect and keep them in our prayers.
May you bless them on this special day.
We also pray for God our Father.
Let his example of faith and love continue to shine forth. May we honour him always with spirit and respect.
Amen.
Remember to get your fun lunch orders in for Footy Day, which is coming up on the last Thursday of school.
Have a wonderful week everyone,
Sally

Book Week Dress Up Day Friday 2nd September
We will be celebrating Book Week on Friday 2nd September.
Children can come dressed as a character from a book.
We encourage families to use items already in their homes rather than buying new costumes.
PE lessons run on Fridays, so please ensure children have appropriate footwear.
Help for children who are experiencing sleep difficulties
I am proud to be offering a sensitive sleep program that offers professional support to families and their children to get better sleep.
This program is for children who have a disability or additional needs including Autism and ADHD and is in addition to the sleep and settling program that I have been operating for 11 years.
Age: Birth to 12 years.
Research has shown that children who are getting adequate sleep for their age are better able to thrive and succeed in other therapies including Physiotherapy, Speech, and OT
Attendance and concentration at school is also increased.
I am passionate when working with individual children and their families to provide an individual program but have seen tremendous benefit of group sessions also.
Both options are available as a face-to-face or online option, meaning that I am available nationwide.
Families are able to also access their NDIS funding for this service.
I welcome any enquiries or questions and will look forward to hearing from you.
Warmest Regards
Nicole

Now is the time to enrol your child for existing families with an older sibling at the school. Please find attached the enrolment forms that need to be filled in. It would be great to have these back as soon as possible.
