Dear Families,

Well, this is the very last newsletter for 2022. I think most of us say every year that we have no idea where the time has gone and this year is no different.

I would like to thank the families of Lumen Christi for welcoming me this year. It is never easy changing jobs or schools, but it is made easier when you are welcomed into the community as I have been. It’s been lovely getting to know our children and families.

Last week we held our school concert. I hope everyone enjoyed our show, it took a lot of hard work and many hours of practising. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and came along to watch. The children were amazing and it was wonderful to see them all on the stage – we worked a lot on building resilience through the concert, especially with those for whom performing is a little (or a lot) out of their comfort zone.

It is a sad week also, saying goodbye to Lara Savige and Christine Ruiter as they move to their new schools next year.

We also farewell our wonderful Year 6 students:

Tye, Ryder, Philip, Hannah, Maizie, Shaq, Oliver, Jack B, Bradley, Maila, Conner, Vincent, Isla and Jack S.

We wish them all well as they make their way to secondary school in 2023.

We also farewell some families from the Lumen Christ school community:

To the McCord, Gray, Breheny, Foster, Chandra, Danks and Simpson families, we thank you for entrusting us with your children and for your support in the time you have been at Lumen Christi.

A reminder that school finishes for all students on Friday at 3pm.

We wish our families a happy, holy and safe Christmas.

School starts for all children on Tuesday 31^st January, 2023. See you then.
