Dear Families,

As we come to the end of our first term in 2023, I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for the wonderful beginning to our year. The parents and carers at our school do such a great job supporting our school community and our children who are always at the centre of everything we do and every decision that is made.

This week at school, we are having our Passion Play at 11:15am on Thursday followed by our Easter Raffle. Thank you to all families who donated prizes and for selling and purchasing tickets.

Remember that school finishes at 12:30

Also a huge thank you to our P&F for putting the prizes together. This is a wonderful group of dedicated parents, your efforts are appreciated. Any parents or carers who would like to join the P&F, please contact the school, we are always looking for new members.

I wish everyone a very happy and safe Easter. If you are heading away, please be safe on the roads.

Finally, I’d like to thank our amazing staff at Lumen Christi for all that they do for the children. They have worked hard this term, as always, to ensure that they provide a rich and engaging learning environment in their classrooms.

A prayer as we celebrate Easter as a Catholic community. Jesus is Risen!

Risen Lord, the joyful message is that suffering and death were not the end.  You rose triumphantly in a new and glorified body, opening the door for all who believe in You to do the same.  Draw me in, dear Lord, to Your suffering and death so that I may also be drawn into the glory of Your Resurrection.  Give me the courage You had as You endured so much.  Help me to face the crosses in my life with Your strength.  As I do, fill me with hope as I anticipate the new life You will bring from all sufferings united to You.

Halleluia!  Lord, Jesus, You have risen from the dead and are gloriously triumphant!

Thank you to all of our families for donating to Project Compassion during Lent.

As a school community, we raised nearly $300, which will be donated to Caritas.
