Dear Families and Friends,
Today it was announced by the State Government that the lock-down will be extended through to next Tuesday evening. As such we will continue with the same structures and procedures that have been in place since the lock-down commenced last Friday morning. Our Remote Learning procedures across the school will continue to involve a daily class check-in via Google Classroom at 9am and then the followup tasks that each teacher will explain during the morning meeting.
It has been really exciting watching the classes connected again virtually and the continued growth in the students' technology skills is certainly one of the positives of remote learning. This experience is also a timely opportunity for families to create and reinforce expectations around the use of technology in the home. Our school website has some great resources while the eSafety materials are a terrific starting point regardless of the age of your children.
At the moment we are taking things 'one day at a time' but have certainly began our planning around future events. As we can all appreciate, it is unlikely that we will switch back to normal after the lock-down and will probably have to deal with measures like were in place during the Victorian Government's Roadmap that guided us in Term 4 last year. It has been an interesting time with reports of various near-misses within our school community of people who have almost been caught up in the various exposure sites, fingers crossed we will continue to be saved from the disruption of having our school face the same quarantine scenario that some schools are dealing with across the state.
Again can I commend the attitude of staff, student and families as we work collaboratively through this tricky time. Take care of yourselves and tread gently with each other.

Catholic School Parents Victoria- eSafety Webinar
Earlier this year CSPV conducted research of parents to understand areas of concern for them when it comes to their children's learning. One of the areas of concern was online safety. The eSafety Commissioner provides opportunities for parents to be more engaged in their children's safety online through a series of webinars on specific topics that are challenging for parents to monitor and manage.
Please share this information with your parent network as they begin term 3 to support them in their efforts to keep their children safe online.
